Their music has traveled international air waves, had exposure on New York radio stations and has been widely received in the college radio circuit. Members of The Doug Wahlberg Band have performed from coast to coast, as well as internationally, with concentrated club performances in New York City at hot spots like Cutting Room, Crash Mansion, Bitter End, Kenny’s Castaways and previously at CBGB, Trax and Great Guildersleeves. Connecticut venues include
Ridgefield Playhouse, Levitt Pavillion for the Performing Arts, Foxwood’s Casino and Ives Concert Park. They’ve even played their own brand of rock and roll, bending the blues rules, at the Montreal Festiblues Blues Festival, and just completed performances at the Ives Concert Park with both The Guess Who and Foreigner. Most recently, they’ve shared the stage with Eddie Money at the Taste of Danbury festival this summer.
Band members have resumes that boast performances with the unparallel talents of The Doors and Peter Tosh. Doug Wahlberg Band has opened for classic acts such as The Ramones, David Johanson, Cheap Trick and just recently forJohn Hammond and Mountain. Doug has worked on projects that included such legends as Rick Derringer, Elton John’s lyricist Bernie Taupin and Bowie’s guitarist and producer Mick Ronson and has been managed by Lester Chambers of the Chamber Brothers.
